Interviews are Effing Terrifying

So I’m graduating here in a couple of weeks. And I’m one of the lucky ones who have a few job leads. Very exciting stuff. But job leads eventually lead to one terrifying and stressful experience for me: the interview. I’ve never been too fond of them. It’s difficult to put yourself out there to complete strangers and expect them to just love everything you say. As a writer, I’ve always been much better at answering questions with the written word rather than my mouth. It’s not like public speaking or fast responses are an issue, I just know that I can write it better. And the questions–“So, who are you?”–Oh god, I hate those.

But in the end, it all leads to hopefully a great job experience. That’s what I’m hoping for at least. If you’re heading for the dreaded interview in the next few weeks, I have a little something to ease the stress. Who better than the men of Monty Python to blow the ridiculousness of interview stress out of proportion. Enjoy…
