Let’s face it, we’re all undergoing the job search struggle. Graduation is looming over our heads and we just want to say we have a job. It is just too easy to get overexcited when someone stops by your profile and LinkedIn is kind enough to let you know. With just one profile view, the “ifs” start running through my mind:
OOH WHAT APARTMENT WILL I LIVE IN?
WILL MY NEW CO-WORKERS LOVE ME?
When do I start my new job that I HAVEN’T EVEN BEEN INTERVIEWED FOR YET?
Yeah, that’s how my mind works.
But, hey, what’s wrong with a little optimism every now and then. I’m usually so cynical. Even if this guy doesn’t get back to me, I’m sure that one day someone will come across my carefully curated LinkedIn profile. And they’re gonna swipe right and make a match. Oh, wait, am I mixing up social networks again? Damn.
